Book 1: Step 1: Takes students on an adventure meeting the characters in the series as they uncover important mysteries while visiting our US Landmarks! Book 1 and the Teachers Guide set prepare students to critically think while they participate in discussion activities, engage in writing prompts and innovative whole group and individual classroom activities. This is step one in the learning process.

Step Two: This is when the America’s Landmarks Mystery Quest Writing with Liberty and Justice Curriculum is needed. Book 1 is focused on Narrative Writing and provides an entire unit for full understanding of this writing structure. Students will be engaged. In the end, students and readers will have constructed a narrative about visiting The Statue of Liberty or Mount Rushmore or they will construct a piece based about another life experience.
